Game Basics

Kanpani ☆ Girls is a free to play PC browser game. The player takes on the role of a CEO transported to some far away world, and travels this fantasy RPG world while collecting employees (characters). Power up andconfigure your employees, develop your own equipment, and use special CEO Skills to take down powerful enemies and build the greatest company in the universe!

Game Explanation

CEO Office


The main screen.
From this screen you can access almost all features.
The following information is displayed at the top of the screen.
CEO Office buttonShows the name of the current screen.
By clicking this button while on another screen you can jump directly to the CEO Office screen.
CEO LvBy leveling up, your Facilities can be powered up and you'll be able to do much more.
You can level up your CEO Lv by completing Quests.
Level GaugeThis is a measure of how close you are to leveling up, and will rise as you complete quests.
GoldThe currency of this world. Gold can be used to power up your employees(characters) and develop equipment. You'll earn gold when you complete quests.

The number displayed next to the envelope icon shows how many unread news alerts you have.
MaterialsThere are 3 types of materials, Lumber, Stone, and Iron. They can be used to level up and develop your facilities.
They all will replenish over time, but by leveling up your Material Storage Department you can increase the amount that gets replenished.
They can be replenished using employee stones.
FoodUsed whenever you start a quest. Without enough food you will not be able to start quests. Like materials, food will also replenish over time, and by leveling up your Material Storage Department you can increase this amount.
All features not on the top of the screen are listed below.
Party LeaderThe employee set as your first party leader on the Configure Party screen will be placed in the office. When certain requirements are met they'll speak a few lines. (They may not speak depending on their rarity)
Volume buttonThe speaker button. Opens the screen where you can set various volume levels.

Facilities

"Facilities" refers to a number of buildings with various different functionalities. Once your CEO level has surpassed a certain point you can use materials to level up these buildings. Leveled up facilities get increased functionality but take a certain length of time to complete.
This time can be reduced by using Employee Stones. 1 stone will reduce the time required by 10 hours.
Additionally, Employees (characters) can be assigned to all facilities, other than the CEO Office, to increase their effects. You need Employee Stones to increase the number of employees you can assign.
The effects of each facility are detailed below.
HeadquartersHere you can set the CEO Skill that you can use in Battle. By leveling it up you will increase the number of employees you can employ, as well as change the background and layout of the CEO Office.
Equipment Development LabThese labs are where you can construct weapons and armor for your employees (characters) to Equip.
Check Develop for more details. You can change your equipment from the Employee screen.
Material Storage DepartmentIn addition to buying materials with Employee Stones you can also increase the amount you can store by leveling up this facility. These materials are used to level up your facilities and to develop items.
PR DivisionThe PR Division puts out job ads to draw in even more Resumes from promising newEmployees (characters).
As you level up this facility you'll be able to use different types of wording in your ads.
You can choose a character image from among the characters you've collected.

Employees


Employee characters you can recruit.
In addition to recruiting them via their Resumes you can also recruit them by finishing Quests. There are 8 types of employees, Fighter, Warrior, Cleric, Soldier, Magician, Rogue, Archer, and Ronin, and each have 7 ranks of their own.
Each class has their own special Equipment and the Skillsthey can use changes with the weapons they equip.
The number of stars a given employee starts off with varies from one to the next. Once they reach a certain level they will be ready for a Class UP which will level up their class and raise their limit abilities. Once you get enough EXP from clearing quests and through Takeovers, your employees will level up. You can click the lock icon on each of the characters' screens to lock them so that they can't be laid off or used in takeovers. By clicking the lock again you can unlock them.

Status

The parameters set for each Employee (character) that determines their abilities in Battles. These values vary depending on class.
Status consists of the following items.
LvMax Lv depends on class and rarity. By leveling up, the following statuses will be increased and a character may be eligible for Class UP.
HPA measure of a character's Health Points as it rises and falls in battle.
This value will decrease as you take damage, and once it hits 0 the character will no longer be able to battle.
STRA measure of the strength of your physical attacks.
VITA measure of your physical defense.
AGIA measure of your ability to avoid attacks as well as the order in which you'll move in battle.
DEXA measure of your accuracy and damage consistency, and also impacts critical hits.
INTA measure of your magical attacks and magical defense.
PIEA measure that impacts the amount of HP you can recover via magic as well as magical defense.
LUKA measure that impacts your accuracy and critical hits.
Physical AttackA measure of the strength of your physical attack skills.
Magical AttackA measure of the strength of your magical attack skills.
Physical DefenseA measure of your defense against physical attacks. Changes with VIT and equipment.
Magical DefenseA measure of your defense against magical attacks. Changes with INT, PIE, and equipment.
Direct hitThe higher this value, the more likely your attacks are to hit their mark.
EvasionThe higher this value, the more likely you are to avoid incoming enemy attacks.
CriticalThe higher this value, the more likely you are to deal greater damage than normal.

Equipment

You can change your employee's equipment from the Employee screen. Most equipment is obtained throughDevelopment.
Equipment consists of the following types.
Weapons and armor are divided up based on class, and one class cannot use the equipment of another.
WeaponChanging weapons will typically affect your Attack Status.
Additionally, the Skills your employees can use will change along with their weapons. There are also some weapons with Elements.
ArmorChanging armor will typically affect your Defense Status.
There are some types of armor with Elements.
AccessoriesOffer various status boosts and resistance to Status Effects.

Configure Party


Here you can select up to 5 Employees (characters) to form a party for Battles (Quests).
There are two rows, front and back, and the positions that characters are placed in will determine which weapon (EquipmentSkills they can use.
Employees placed at the back will take a reduced amount of damage.
However, this will not take effect if there are no characters in front of them on the front line, or if that character is knocked out.
Each employee has their own Tactics, and the employee set as leader will be able to use theirs in battle.
You can create multiple parties, but you can't place the same employee in multiple parties. Also, you can't place employees who have been assigned to Facilities in parties.

Takeover


In Takeovers, an Employee will take the place of anEmployee (character) that is retiring from the company. The employee that takes over will receive EXP. Once an employee gets a certain amount of EXP they will level up and get a boost to their Status. The higher the rarity of the retiree, the more EXP you will get, but the retiree, and anyItems they have equipped will be lost.
Additionally, if the retiree and takeover candidate are the same character, they will be "awakened" and receive status and HP bonuses.
Awakening gives you additional bonuses separate from Class UP, but can only be performed the number of times of a character's "Awakening Rank". This number may increase when you perform a Class UP.

Class UP


Once an Employee (character) reaches a certain Lv, you can use a Class UP item to raise their class rank and Status. There are specific Class UP items for each class (not for each class tree) which you can obtain as Quest rewards. Once an employee is eligible for Class UP the button will be activated on the Employee Screen.
Also, the look of 3D characters will change when you perform a Class UP.

Resumes


Everyday at 4AM you will get new resumes. You can select 1 of these to hire as a new Employee.
If you want to recruit another character during the same day, you can select "Recruit Employee" from the top menu and use Employee Stones to bring in more resumes.
★3 and higher employees have envelopes with special designs.
The resumes that come in each day and the resumes you can bring in with Employee Stones are all the same, and give you the chance to recruit all of the girls in the game.
*This does not include the Novel ver. Reward character "Silvina Forren" and the Battlefield Reward character "Elaine Whistler".

Develop


At the Equipment Development Facilities you can create theEquipment that your Employees will don in battle. You can obtain special "recipes" as Quest rewards which will allow you to make a variety of new equipment. Crafting equipment requires material and gold in addition to these recipes.

Quest


Quests follow Battles that happen in a storyline, and will grant you EXP and rewards as you progress. There are also some limited time only event quests.
Beginning a quest costs some food. If you don't have enough you can't start a quest. If you end the game or close your browser in the middle of the quest, you will be asked the next time you start if you would like to continue it or not. If you choose not to continue, the quest will end in failure, and you will have to start over from the beginning next time you choose that quest. Please note that you will also lose all loot you obtained along the way.
Once you begin a quest you can press the F.FWD button on the right of the screen to fast forward through the dialog.

Phantom Labyrinth


A mysterious labyrinth that appeared out of nowhere one day.
Incredibly, the labyrinth itself appears to be ever-changing, morphing, and twisting.
Word has it that at the deepest levels awaits a never before seen, super powerful foe and the greatest of treasures.
*You can spend gold to take on this challenge.
*You will earn food as a reward for clearing it.
*Recommended for employees Lv: 30 to 90
*Unlocks after completion of Chapter 3.
*Difficulty changes greatly depending on your choices.
*Has no tie-in to the story of the main quest.

Character Story


These Quests are separate side stories from the Main Quest that follow individual Employees.
You may encounter character-specific weapons and rare items.
To start character stories you must have a given story's lead set in your party.
Character Stories are unlocked after completion of Chapter 2.

Battle


Refers to the fights you encounter during Quests. Battle's are carried out automatically using Employee's (character)Skills. Skills have a specific number of times they can be used, and once all characters (enemies included) have exhausted all their skill turns the round will end and all characters skill turns will be reset. Even characters affected by Status Effects that cannot move will be treated as if they had exhausted their turns at the end of the round. Characters who lose all their HP will be knocked out, and once either side has completely been knocked out, the remaining side will win.
On the right of the Battle Screen is your party, and on the left is the enemy. During battles you can use yourCEO Skill whenever you choose.
Additionally, the following also appear on-screen.
F.FWD ButtonSpeeds up the battle.
Depending on your PC and Internet connection this feature may not cause much noticeable difference.
Retreat ButtonSelect a retreat option and quit mid-quest. If you choose a normal retreat, it will be treated as a quest failure, and you will have to start again from the beginning next time. You will also lose any rewards you obtained along the way.
ContinueWhen your team is defeated in battle you can use Employee Stones to heal all of your units. You will resume your battle with the enemy team starting with the same statuses.
UnresolvedWhen you have battled through a certain number of rounds without a clear winner or loser, you'll be presented with a screen asking if you want to continue or retreat.

Battlefield


You can bring all teams you've Configured with you onto the Battlefield.
On the Battlefield you can move around the MAP. Click on the spot you want to move to. When you land on a character space or boss space you'll be thrown into a Battle.
If you click on the "CHANGE PARTY" button ahead of time you can switch out your parties to set which party fights first. You can even use this button to switch during battle (during battle you can change at the beginning of each round starting with the second round).
When you defeat the last boss of a given Battlefield you will unlock the next difficulty level. And after you've beaten a certain difficulty level you will unlock the next area.
Battlefields differ from normal Quests in the following ways.
  • Instead of Materials you will earn Battle Coins. The Battle Coins can be used at the Shop's Exchange Center.
  • Heading out to battle does not cost food or gold.
  • You can only head out once a day.
  • When you're defeated you gain all the EXP and rewards earned up until that point (all Employees set in your party get EXP).
  • You cannot use CEO Skills. Instead you can use the CHANGE PARTY button.

Space Types

You will encounter the following types of spaces.
Empty SpaceNothing happens.
Character SpaceBattle encounter. The party on screen will take part in the first round.
Treasure Chest SpaceGet treasure.
Boss SpaceBoss battle encounter. Defeat this boss to continue on to the next MAP.
When you beat the last boss you'll clear that difficulty level.

Win/Lose Conditions

WINDefeat the last boss.
LOSE
  1. All members of all your parties get knocked out.
  2. You choose "Return" from the MAP or during battle.
  3. The round counter counts down to 0.
    The more characters you have overall in your parties, the greater the round counter will be.

Other Items

Quitting and Restarting
  • From the MAP: You will restart from the last space you moved to.
  • Mid-battle - Unresolved: Restarts at the round after you quit.
  • Mid-battle - Win: Restarts at the results screen.
  • Mid-battle - Lose: If you still have parties to use, it will start from the CHANGE PARTY screen, otherwise it will begin from the results screen.
Moving on the MAP
You will automatically move to the space that you click (if you click mid-movement you can stop moving).
You will move along the shortest possible route, even if there are treasure or enemy spaces, but will avoid boss spaces.
*When you click on a Boss Space itself, you will take the shortest route there without avoiding it.
About F.FWD
Unlike in Quests, here there are two types: MAP Movement F.FWD and Battle F.FWD.
You can set which situation you want to fast forward through.
*Depending on your PC and Internet connection this feature may not cause much noticeable difference.
Missions
Battles on the Battlefield do not count towards missions such as "Defeat xx amount of monsters".

Skills

During Battle all characters, including enemies, will battle using their skills.
Skills differ by weapon (Equipment), and each has a set number of times they can be used each round.
Each weapon also has different skills for the front and back lines, so the skill that they will use depends on the location you set a given Employee in your Configuration.
Once all characters, enemies included, have used up all skill turns the counters will be reset and you will move on to the next round (see Battle).

CEO Skills


During Battle if you click the CEO Skill button on the bottom right you can use up the gauge shown on the bottom of the screen (CEO PW) and use your CEO Skills whenever you think is best.
CEO Skills affect the entire Battlefield, and can change the tide of battle, but they can only be used once per round.
CEO PW will regenerate over time.

Status Effects

The following status effects, excluding being knocked out, are those you will encounter in Battle. You can get multiple status effects at once.
Status effects will heal on their own at the end of the round, but can also be healed using Cleric's skills.
PoisonDeals a set amount of damage at the end of each round.
ParalyzeHas a set chance of making a unit unable to move.
StunPrevents a unit from moving until the next round.
CharmPrevents a unit from attacking whoever cast charm, and makes them heal said unit if possible.
CurseDeals a certain amount of an attacks damage back to the user.
DarknessDrops the accuracy of physical attacks.
ATK downDrops physical attack power.
DEF downDrops physical defense power.
Magic ATK downDrops magical attack power.
Magic DEF downDrops magical defense power.

Class Traits

Class Traits have various effects based on the classes of your allies in Battle.
  • The timing of their effects differs depending on the class.
  • Those with the same effects will not stack.
  • These effects will be nullified at the end of each battle.
FighterBody SlamPrevents the receiver from moving on their next turn.
RoninQuitRaises the accuracy and critical hit ratio of all party members for one round.
ArcherAnti-AirDeals huge damage to flying monsters.
SoldierHardened DefenseAbsorbs some of the damage meant to be dealt to the character directly behind them.
WarriorEncourageGreatly raises the physical and magical attack of all party members for one round.
ClericDevotionHeals the HP and clears status effects of all allies left standing when knocked out of battle.
RogueSneak attackAll allies move before the enemy does for one round.
MagicianFocusThe character moves last in the round and gets a huge boost to magical attacks.

Elements

The different elements are listed below. When two characters of the same element face off the amount of damage they deal (and take) is reduced.
FireDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from water elements.
WaterDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from fire elements.
EarthDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from wind elements.
WindDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from earth elements.
DarkDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from light elements.
LightDeals increased damage to and takes increased damage from dark elements.
NoneIs not impacted by and does not impact other elements.

Strategy

Employees (characters) have their own tactics that they will use in Battle.
Tactics will be put into effect when the Employee becomes leader, and all members of the Party will follow the leader's tactics.
Even with all the same members, changing the leader can greatly change the flow of battle.
You can check the details of each employee's tactics from the Employee and Configure screens.
The following are the different types of tactics.
Go for the Leader!Focuses attacks on the enemy leader. Once the leader is down they will attack the other units at random.
Go for the Peppy One!Focuses attacks on the enemy with the most HP remaining.
Go for the Wounded One!Focuses attacks on the enemy with the least HP remaining.
Take Down the Tough One!Focuses attacks on the enemy with the highest rank.
Crush the Weaklings!Focuses attacks on the enemy with the lowest rank.
Stop the AoE attacks!Focuses attacks on enemies with area of effect attacks.
Cover the Rear!Focuses attacks on the enemies that target your back line.
Stop their Spells!Focuses attacks on enemies with magic attacks.
Put Down the Healer!Focuses attacks on enemy healers.
Just Go Get 'Em!Completely random attacks on the enemy.

Item


Here you can check the list of items you've obtained.
You can sell items under Material and Equipment.
If you check an item and go to sell it you can select the number you want to sell.
You can also select multiple items and sell them all at once.
You can use items under Supplies.

Employee stone

Can be used to pull up Resumes, in various places in Battle, and to buy certain Items.
They can be purchased using Nutaku Gold and may also be obtained as free rewards.
To purchase, click on the "Purchase" button on the right of the top menu to open the pop-up order screen.

Missions

There are 3 types of missions, Main, Daily, and Weekly. By completing the requirements listed on the mission list you will clear the mission and earn rewards. Daily and Weekly missions differ from user to user. Once you've completed a mission you can click the Accept button to get your rewards.
Daily missions switch over each day at 4AM and Weekly missions are reset at 4AM one week from the time they are accepted. Please be sure to collect your rewards because any unaccepted rewards will be lost when the missions change.
Every day after 4AM you'll automatically get new missions when you enter the CEO Office.
If you do not return to the Office after 4AM but continue playing you will have to accept the mission manually from the Mission List.
Additionally, if you accept rewards of materials that surpass your current max capacity the extra amount will be lost.

Catalog

You can check out the detailed profiles of Employees (characters) in the Employee Roster.
Those employees who have been defeated in battle and had their clothes torn will also be displayed with that image.
It also has info about the illustrator and voice actor for the given character.
You can listen to their various voiced lines.

Shop


You can use Employee Stones or Gold to purchase Itemsthat will help you in the game.
Items include usable items and equipment, and they have various different effects.
Items you purchase can be used from the item box or equipped from the Employee screen to put their effects to work.
The lineup of items you can purchase may change in future updates.

Supplementary Item Effect Details

"Secretary Nomination Badge"
Use to add the "Secretary" button to the Employee Screen.
The employee selected as secretary will always be shown in the office.
The secretary's effects will continue until they are laid off, taken over, another employee is made secretary, or their assignment is canceled.
Once you use a Secretary Nomination Badge, you can use the Secretary button as many times as you'd like.
"CEO's 'Special' Glasses"
Use to see the employee in the Office in their defeated form.
Works even on employees who have never been defeated in battle.
Use it again to return them to their normal form.
"Management Guidebook" "Adventure Guidebook"
Use to boost prestige and employee EXP to 120%.
Its effects will last for 30 days, regardless of whether you are logged in or not.
If its effects are still in place when you begin a quest, you will still get the bonuses even if it expires mid-quest.
You cannot stack the effects of the same item.
"Rename Roll"
You can use this item to rename your company.
You can choose a name of up to 12 characters.
After you change the name, the "'s company" portion will be taken off.
*NOTES
  1. If the company name you set is determined to go against common decency, be similar to personal information, or considered to be slanderous, the name will be returned to the Nutaku given name.
    Please note that in such cases the Rename Roll you used will not be returned to you.
  2. If you continue to set names that go against common decency the matter will be handled in accordance with the Terms of Use.
  3. Unfortunately we cannot provide detailed answers as to what names fall into these targets.
